“Healthy aging is the process of maintaining good physical, mental, and social health and well-being as we grow older.”(1)
To achieve healthy aging:
- aging starts essentially at any age and very possibly early on in life;
- shift the paradigm and realize there are choices in the life that we have to help to stay healthy through a healthy aging process;
- many factors that influence healthy aging, such as nutrition, physical activity, mental functioning, social & emotional well-being, injury prevention and health care routine, contribute to healthy aging and improve the chances of maintaining optimal health later in life;(1,2)
- the first and most important is nutrition, i.e., maintaining a healthy, balanced diet through making smart food choices;(1,2)
- dietary supplements are recommended for healthy aging;(3)
- green coffee beans and fenugreek seeds are purely natural foods that have been consumed by human for thousands of years. TRG, CGA, and other natural components in these foods provide multifaceted health benefits.(4,5)

As stated by US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “(h)ealthy aging is the process of maintaining good physical, mental, and social health and well-being as we grow older.”(1)
Number one mystery about aging is it is only for older adults, and happens when old people are getting older and start to have health issues. However, the truth is aging starts essentially at any age and very possibly early on in life. The key is to shift the paradigm and realize there are choices in the life that we have to help to stay healthy through a healthy aging process and live longer while healthy. Although it is never too late at any age to adopt healthy habits for positive change, it is critical to start early and choose & adopt habits and making positive lifestyle choices that contribute to overall well-being as we grow older, in order to lessen and even prevent many health complications that may arise in later life. In other words, we do not choose just a long lifespan, the number of years we are alive, but a long healthspan within those years we are physically and mentally fit and are healthy to live independently without debilitating diseases.(3)
There are many factors that influence healthy aging.(2) Although some factors like genetics are not fully in our control, many others are within our reach. Research has shown multiple ways such as nutrition, physical activity, mental functioning, social & emotional well-being, injury prevention and health care routine, contribute to healthy aging and improve the chances of maintaining optimal health later in life.(1,2) Small changes in e.g. staying active, making healthy food choices, getting enough sleep, limiting alcohol intake, and proactively managing personal health care can go a long way to support healthy aging.(2)
Among this, the first and most important is nutrition, i.e., maintaining a healthy, balanced diet through making smart food choices.(1,2) An eating pattern with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and lean proteins, can help protect from many health problems when aging and may even help improve brain function. Even if healthy aging is a new concept, changing the diet at any stage of life can still improve overall well-being as an older adult.
Dietary supplements are recommended for healthy aging,(3) such as creatine for maintaining and building muscle mass and potentially improving cognitive performance, vitamin D for promoting muscle and bone strength, magnesium for promoting restful sleep and brain health, vitamin B9 and B12 for promoting brain health, and multivitamin for multiple health benefits. These supplements may improve the healthspan by increasing the levels of functioning and slowing the progression of chronic conditions. Be cautious, though, too many supplements may add burden to liver and kidneys.
Green coffee beans and fenugreek seeds are purely natural foods that have been consumed by human for thousands of years. TRG, CGA, and other natural components in these foods provide multifaceted health benefits(4,5) ranging from supporting metabolic homeostasis of glucose and lipids, preserving the integrity and function of mitochondria that orchestrate integrated physiological responses hence energize cells and vital organs such as the heart, blood vessels, lungs, liver, kidneys, brain and skin, thus greatly contributing to overall health, well-being, and healthy aging.
Although supplements cannot replace a poor diet or lack of exercise, dietary supplements are used in the context of other healthy lifestyle choices,(3) such as adequate nutrition, sleep, exercise, and working with a medical professional to treat any medical conditions, to facilitate healthy aging.
