Green coffee beans and fenugreek seeds are rich in natural trigonelline (TRG), chlorogenic acid (CGA), 4-hydroxyisoleucine (4HIL), fiber and other nutrients that are well-known in modulating and maintaining sugar and lipid homeostasis.

TRG and CGA have been extensively studied and have shown beneficial effects through modulating metabolic homeostasis of glucose and lipids (Nguyen 2024). TRG and CGA work together and modulate the activities of the master energy sensor and regulate glucose and lipid metabolism at cellular and molecular levels.

For example, when high amount of sugar is taken into the body, TRG and CGA modulate the cellular responses to decrease the glucose absorption, uptake and production, move glucose out from blood into cells and increase glucose consumption, inhibit glycogen to glucose conversion and reduce glucose release in to the blood, which in turn attenuates the glucose concentration uptick in the blood and help maintain blood sugar concentration in the normal range.
